Joe John Sanchez III (they/them) is a Portland-based artist and stand-up comedian. Their style can best be described as manic, neurotic, and unfortunately adorable. In 2024, they were voted as one of Willamette Week’s Funniest Five and selected as one of the Portland Mercury’s Undisputable Geniuses of Comedy. Across the country, they have taken the stage at SF Sketchfest, the LGBTLOL Queer Comedy Fest, a weekend residency at East Austin Comedy Club, and were chosen for Best of Fest at the 2023 Burbank Comedy Festival. They are currently the producer of multiple local comedy showcases focused on uplifting LGBTQIA+ talent — Fluid Comedy, Defiant Joy, Exquisite Nonsense, and Laugh Your Clothes Off. Currently, they are the main instructor for the Advanced Stand Up Comedy course at Curious Comedy Theater.
